As you can see on our homepage, we're counting down the seconds until Wicked makes its return to The Bushnell! And we know that there are thousands of you waiting to come through our doors to see the land of Oz come to life in Mortensen Hall. We are excited to announce that Carmen Cusak, fresh from the Chicago production of Wicked, will be joining the tour in the role of the emerald green-skinned Elphaba, and Broadway actress (and Wicked newbie!) Katie Rose Clark will be playing the beautiful and popular Glinda.
These talented actresses have been busy. Originally from Texas, Carmen spent 14 years in London performing in big-name shows like The Secret Garden and Les Miserables. Katie most recently took on the role of Clara Johnson in The Light in the Piazza in the Broadway production, PBS special and national tour.
In addition to welcoming Carmen and Katie to Hartford, we will also welcome Broadway veterans Alda Cuervo in the role of Madame Morrible and P.J. Benjamin as the one-and-only Wizard.
Are you counting down as well? What is your favorite part about the show?
