from the page to the stage

One of our most buzzed-about performances this season isn't a huge blockbuster musical - it's our one-person performance of The Glass Castle, which is part of our Literature to Life series, now in its second season.

Literature to Life, which was created by The American Place Theatre in New York City, combines a professional actor with verbatim selections from a significant American literary work. These unique and extremely popular performances take place in our intimate Autorino Great Hall, and last year's series was a huge hit with book lovers and theater lovers alike!

The November 12 production of The Glass Castle is based on the powerful memoir by Jeannette Walls, and tells the tale of a very unconventional and precarious life through the eyes of a young girl.

Will you be one of the members of this sold-out audience? What did you love about the book?
