We are excited to kick off 2008 with The Producers, which opens tonight in Mortensen Hall! There is no better way to kick the wintertime blues than with a hilarious Mel Brooks musical. Are you planning to see the show? If you have, what did you think?

I saw the show on Friday, January 18th, and thought it was excellent. The cast of no-names performed with a great deal of energy, which was returned by the audience with an enthusiastic standing ovation. As "Max" quipped, "He's no Nathan, but he's pretty good!"

I was very disappointed in the production of the Producers, which we saw Saturday evening. As longtime subscribers, I am accostomed to the poor sound quality of the theater, but found that the sound for this show was particularly poor. The acting was definitely subpar, and, in
reading the playbill, the reason became clear: there was little significant experience among the players.
I look forward to better productions in the future. Sincerely, Ronnie Dubrowin

I took a friend to see the Producers and had the greatest time. I enjoy coming to the Bushnell and seeing the energy that is put into productiions and the sheer appreciation by the theatre goings who will give a standing ovation to a great show.

I am out raged at your Companies false advertisements. I went to your new show African Footprints which thought was excellent beyond belief I invited my whole family to it and I think contributed at least 300 dollars to the Bushnell. Before this performance we were given a pamphlet titled "The Producers" which we could look through before the show. To my amusement there was a section in the pamphlet about African Footprints that helped answer a couple questions and said, "January 25-26, 2008". I thought this was very convenient because after I saw the show that Friday night other people I knew would like to see this fabulous play. So when I invited my neighbor and many family friends to go to this performance I was appalled when they told me they went down to the box office and there was no one there. I am outraged at you false advertisements and I and shocked and surprised how bad you made many people look. I demand an apology. We have gone and put thousands of dollars into the Bushnell all our lives so when my family and I experience such a betrayal and embarrassment we wanted to bring it to your attention and wanted some reassurance that this wouldn't happen again.

This show sucked big time. Unbelievably old and boring.

Faithlyn....your complaint is hard to follow. And "demanding an apology"? How self-righteous does that come off. I'm completely turned off by your accusations of the bushnell. You weren't "betrayed" as you like to think. Most likely someone made an error (yes, those do happen). Take a breath and count your blessings.
