What do you want to see next season?

Although the beginning of our new season is eight months away, we are very busy here at The Bushnell booking shows for next season. What would you like to see on our stages? Any particular show, comedy act, dance troupe, orchestra, family programming, or anything else you'd like to see in Mortensen Hall or the Belding Theater? Let us know - we'd love to hear from you!

Please STOP doing reruns of past Bushnell Broadway seasons. We have been loyal season ticket holders since the first year and love all kinds of shows. We just don't like having to see reruns included in our series! The Producers was wonderful, but please be more considerate of your patrons. It is not a great policy to have one or two headliner shows and then sneak in repeats. Thank you.

Barbara Ceplenski:

I saw an ad in the Boston paper for Irving Berlins' White Christmas. It looked like a great alternative to regular holiday fare. The add said it was a family show. I'd like to see that here in Hartford.

Jessica:

I would absolutely love to see Sweeney Todd and Chorus Line!

prizmlsi:

I agree with the comment about repeat shows. I have been a season ticketholder for several seasons now. I don't appreciate having shows repeated so closely together. I realize that shows like the Producers are bring draws for the theatre but loyal season ticketholders should be taken into consideration when shows are booked!!!!

Takarra :

PLEASE BRING AFRICAN FOOTPRINT BACK PLEASE. I DIDNT SEE RENT ON BROADWAY YET BUT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT. AFRICAN FOOTPRINT TWO THUMBS UP AND 5 STARS.

LOVE,
TKAY

Jody:

I'd love to see African Footprint again next year,,,,,it was spectacular!

Faithlyn Johnson:

I am out raged at your Companies false advertisements. I went to your new show African Footprints which thought was excellent beyond belief I invited my whole family to it and I think contributed at least 300 dollars to the Bushnell. Before this performance we were given a pamphlet titled "The Producers" which we could look through before the show. To my amusement there was a section in the pamphlet about African Footprints that helped answer a couple questions and said, "January 25-26, 2008". I thought this was very convenient because after I saw the show that Friday night other people I knew would like to see this fabulous play. So when I invited my neighbor and many family friends to go to this performance I was appalled when they told me they went down to the box office and there was no one there. I am outraged at you false advertisements and I and shocked and surprised how bad you made many people look. I demand an apology. We have gone and put thousands of dollars into the Bushnell all our lives so when my family and I experience such a betrayal and embarrassment we wanted to bring it to your attention and wanted some reassurance that this wouldn't happen again.

Liz Bloking:

I would love to see the Bushnell highlight some of CT's own local talent. One in particular is Cassandra Kubinski http:///www.ckubinski.com or http://www.myspace.com/cassandrakubinski.
She's trying to "make it" in NY, but comes home to Enfield often and plays where ever she can. She is a true talent and a role model for any young girl who dreams of becoming a star. She's just one of many who know it's a chance in a million, no matter how smart, talented or lucky you may be. Cassie has it all, but also knows it takes hard work to accomplish anything in life. Trying to do what she loves, doesn't pay the bills, so she continues to work a variety of jobs to continue pursuing her dream.

She was Valedictorian from Enfield High, graduated College in 2 years and then left for NYC. As I said, she's one of many, but one that no one will forget after hearing her music.

Bryan Austermann:

Please attempt to get The Drowsy Chaperone back to Hartford! Considering the show is closed on Broadway I will be coming to every performance in February and I do not want to see this musical die! Do all you can. Even if Wicked doesn't come back for 5 years (my favorite musical) I would trade that for another run of Drowsy (my second favorite musical)!

Debby Groenhout:

I'd love to see Les Miserable and Camelot!

Joe:

How about Avenue Q, Mama Mia, Rent, Aida, Jersey Boys and Hairspray?

Lydia Oliver:

There was a time when the POPS SERIES was musical, now it's more like attending a nightclub, with its "blues".
Bring back the popular classics that are tuneful and well-loved by so many of us. I attend the Masterworks Series, and while many are glorious and beautifully done, we sit through some "way-out" somber studies that are like dirges. Lyd

Kim:

I would love to see Avenue Q !!!!

Katie :

I would love to see Phantom of the Opera come back!

Jake:

I would love to see Wicked in the 2008-2009 OR 2009-2010 Broadway Series at the Bushnell. I love this play. I saw it on Broadway in October of 2006. (Halloween weekend to be exact). I loved it. I would see it again at the Bushnell or on Broadway. Please Please Please bring Wicked back. I will be thrilled if you do!!!!!

Brian:

Please bring Wicked back to the Bushnell. It has been here two times and has been a hit in both. Please try to bring it back in the 2008-2009 season or the 2009-2010 season. I think it would do just as well and it is a fantastic musical. Plus, since there is another national tour beginning from the closing Chicago production, maybe it would be easier to get it back.

Anonymous:

Please bring African Footprints back to the Bushnell. I have a whole group of people who would love to see it.

Irene
