The Bushnell’s Digital Arts Production Team is a multi-disciplined collective of artists creating at the intersection of performing arts, digital media, and immersive technology. From projection mapping to 360° dome filmmaking to multi-channel installations, our unique arts and music experiences bring cutting-edge technology and storytelling to Connecticut and beyond. RYAN GLISTA is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and multi-disciplinary digital producer working at the intersection of performing arts and new media. His work has screened nationally and internationally, most recently including videos created with Tony-nominated choreographer Jennifer Weber, billboard-charting band Sammy Rae & The Friends, and Tony-winning animal trainer William Berloni. Ryan applies his diverse skills in film, music production, and design to create unique immersive experiences, most recently including RiseUp’s 'Electric Jungle' and The Bushnell’s Digital Stage series. He has also served as a video producer and teaching artist with many theaters, arts programs, and nonprofits, including teaching film and multi-channel media production in the UConn School of Fine Arts, where he earned a Film BA and Digital Media and Design MFA.
CAROLYN PAINE is a producer, actress, dancer, choreographer, and comedian, who has appeared in various TV shows, national commercials, and Off-Broadway theatre productions. She has studied at Boston Ballet and holds a BA in Theatre from University of Hartford, going on to perform with several acclaimed choreographers and companies, including touring with comedian Hannibal Burress, a dance photo series in Vogue, ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and her own production of The Nutcracker Suite & Spicy, which has performed in Hartford for over a decade. She is also an award-winning producer, comedian, and choreographer; recognized at various international film festivals, featured in The Wonderful World of Dance, and regularly appearing on WNPR’s The Nose with Colin McEnroe.
JACOB RODIER is a director, cinematographer, editor, and visual effects artist from Connecticut, currently based in NYC. Jacob focuses on directing music videos with an emphasis on surrealist and cinematic visuals. He has won several awards for his narrative and music video work.
ALEX ROULEAU is a cinematographer from Connecticut, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. He has shot several award-winning short films, and has also worked as a camera operator and assistant camera on numerous independent feature films and high profile TV/streaming series and branded content.
WENDY YU is an award-winning Chinese-Australian multi-disciplinary media and projection artist, specializing in dance video, animation, interaction design, and programming. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Melbourne and a Masters in Interaction Design and Electronic Arts at the University of Sydney where she completed a dissertation on breakdance in urban media experiences. With a mission statement of elevating local communities of dance through projection design, she has been featured in many festivals and publications around the world.
KYLE KUCHTA is a filmmaker based out of Niantic, CT. After graduating from Syracuse University’s Film Program, he worked in Los Angeles as an assistant director at Screen Junkies, Nerdist, and Megaforce Records. He has since expanded to narrative and documentary film work; directing, producing and editing several award-winning shorts and features
PATRICK BELANGER is a video game designer, programmer and music producer, most recently having worked on the procedural storytelling RPG "Wildermyth", named "Best RPG of 2021" by PC Gamer and "Editor's Choice" by IGN. He has created several virtual reality games, and focuses on using his technical knowledge to immerse people in interactive experiences and stories.
