The Bushnell Celebrates This Holiday Season with a Special Concert from Kenny G

Join the world’s most renowned saxophonist for an evening of holiday favorites, Sunday, December 13, 2009.

Hartford, CT – October 16, 2009 – On Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. the world-famous saxophonist, Kenny G, will take to The Bushnell’s Mortensen Hall stage for a very special evening of holiday music.  In the world of holiday music, Kenny G stands alone.  His 1994 holiday compilation, Miracles, remains the top-selling holiday album of all time to this day.  This is surely a concert not to be missed.  A Kenny G Holiday is part of The Bushnell’s Showcase Series, supported by Bank of America.

Tickets for A Kenny G Holiday are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting The Bushnell Box Office at 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford or by calling (860) 987-5900.  Tickets may also be purchased online at www.bushnell.org.  Tickets prices start at $35.  Ticket prices do not include all applicable fees.

With each new recording, Kenny begins from a personal place— the sounds that move him. It brings him great joy to introduce new material to a live audience. For the past twenty years he has been a fixture in arenas, amphitheaters and concert halls and has performed for millions of people all over the world.

When pressed about his theory as to why he has been so successful, Kenny offers, “I think my music gives people the opportunity to listen to their own thoughts. Tap into their imaginations. Create their own stories to songs without the limitation of words... plus it’s a really beautiful instrument.”
