Color & Texture: Beethoven & Ives

NOTE: GALLERY TALK BEGINS AT 1:00PM AND IS FREE TO TICKET HOLDERS

Part of the 2019-2020 Hartford Symphony Orchestra Sunday Serenades Series. The desire to surround ourselves with beauty is universal and timeless. The exhibition Design in the American Home, 1650-1850 shows how the quest for color, texture, and splendor propels artful design. Enjoy a program of music that evokes the power of design, including Ives' elegant String Quartet No. 1 "From The Salvation Army," and Beethoven's dramatic Quintet in A Major, Op. 47, "Kreutzer."
