Community Services
As part of its community commitment, The Bushnell provides its senior staff members to speak at various organizations' events throughout the Greater Hartford area. A sampling of the available 1-hour presentations include:
- The Bushnell: Past, Present and Future
- The Bushnell: 80 Years of Great Performances
- The iQuilt Plan: A Culture-Based Vision for Hartford
- Arts in Action: Education
- Arts in Action: Community Building and Civic Engagement Bushnell Theatrical Producing: Hartford, Broadway and Beyond
To request a speaker from The Bushnell Speakers Bureau, your group or organization must generally meet the following requirements:
Attendance: 20 people minimum
Location: Within the confines of the Greater Hartford area
Reservation notice: groups must allow at least three months minimum before the event date
Professional Services
The Bushnell's senior staff members are also available to speak on a wide variety of topics at arts industry and other professional meetings and conferences. We serve as guest lecturers, keynote speakers, panelists, conveners, session leaders, reviewers, and policy experts throughout the country and abroad.
Our senior leaders are widely respected arts administration experts, regularly requested to address groups on the following topics:
- Arts programming
- Arts marketing
- Development
- Governance
- Arts-In-Education
Staff members are also conversant in a wide variety of arts and cultural policy issues, ranging from the economic impact of the arts to new models for arts participation. Presentations can be targeted toward arts, government, business, education, or combined community audiences at the local, state, and national levels.
