My tickets are not sequential. Are the seats next to each other?
Yes they are. Seat numbers are even on one side of the theater and odd on the other.
How do I find out pricing for a specific show?
Pricing for shows vary depending on the day and seating location. We have a detailed price for many events on our website. Just click on "Event Calendar," select the show you are interested in, and click "Detailed seating and pricing." You can also call the box office at (860) 987-5900 for specifics.
How do I request a donation for my organization?
The Bushnell is pleased to support other Greater Hartford non-profit organizations and schools in their fundraising efforts through a limited amount of ticket donations. Please note that we cannot support individuals not affiliated with a 501(C)(3) organization or educational institution.

Does The Bushnell hold open auditions for actors?
The Bushnell typically brings in touring productions of shows that do not need additional local actors. However, when The Bushnell does produce its own shows, there are open auditions. Notification of those auditions will be on our home page. In addition, you may want to try Theaterworks and Hartford Stage.
Are gift cards available and how do I buy them?
Gift cards are available for purchase and can be used for all Bushnell-sponsored performances. Pick up one little envelope packed with Broadway, dance, music, and family entertainment at The Bushnell Box Office, by calling (860) 987-5900 or online. Is there a dress code for Bushnell performances?
There is no specific dress code for performances, but patrons typically come in business casual attire - dress shirts and pants for men, skirts or dress slacks for women.
How will I know if a performance is cancelled due to severe weather?
If a performance is cancelled the following radio and television stations will be notified: WTIC AM (1080) and WFSB/TV 3. Cancellations will also be listed on bushnell.org. If a show is cancelled or postponed, customers may exchange to another performance (subject to availability), receive a credit on their account, or request a refund.
Do you have a lost and found?
Any items found during and immediately after the performance will be turned in to Customer Relations. If you have lost an item while at an event, please see a Bushnell staff member for assistance. Unclaimed items will be given to security. Contact Bushnell Security at (860) 987-6061 to inquire about possible recovery of lost items.

How do I make a stock gift to The Bushnell?
For stock gifts, our account at Merrill Lynch is named Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall, account number 814-04F31 and DTC number 5198. You can submit this information to your broker for electronic transfer.
The people I sit behind for Broadway often have a note or gift on their seats before the show…why do they receive these?
The Bushnell is pleased to recognize our subscribers and ticket buyers who are also donors and we do this often during our Broadway Season. These notes/gifts are small tokens of our gratitude.
I would like to upgrade my seats for the Broadway Series and have heard about the Broadway Circle. What is that and how does it work?
The Broadway Circle specifically relates to Orchestra Rows A-M in Section D and, in sections C and E, four seats in from the inside aisles in rows A-K and all of row M. New subscriptions in the Broadway Circle require an Annual Fund donation of $750/seat and the donation must be renewed each year for the seats to be renewed. Should a donor choose not to renew their gift in a given year, they will be reseated in the best available seats when their subscription is up for renewal. Can I make a gift in honor or memory of someone?
Yes. A gift made in honor or memory of someone is a lovely tribute. The Bushnell will receive your gift and prepare both an acknowledgement for your records and letter telling your honoree, or the family of the memorialized, of your generous recognition/remembrance.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, we can set up installments based on a payment schedule that is convenient for you. Installments can be made by automatic charge to your credit card or by check payments.
Can I make a gift using my credit or debit card?
Yes, The Bushnell accepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
How can I find out if my company has a matching gifts program?
Contact your Human Resources department for information on your company’s matching gifts program.
My company is a matching gift company. Does The Bushnell accept matching gifts?
Yes, The Bushnell is able to accept matching gifts and the value of your company’s match is added to the value of your gift to provide for recognition at the combined value (i.e. if you make a $500 gift and your company matches that gift with $500, you will be recognized as a $1,000 donor).
Why isn’t my name listed in the donor honor roll or Prompter – I made my gift earlier this month?
We update the donor honor roll monthly, however, the donor listing for the Prompter often must be submitted more than six (6) weeks in advance of publication. If it has been more than six (6) weeks since you made your gift and you believe your name has been omitted in error, please contact us at 860.987.6086. We welcome the opportunity to make any necessary corrections.
When will I receive my receipt for my gift to The Bushnell?
We officially receipt all gifts in January. We acknowledge all gifts as they are received.
What is The Bushnell’s fiscal year?
July 1-June 30th is our fiscal year.
I’ve notice plaques on some of the seats in the theater…how do I get a plaque on a seat?
Seat plaques are a wonderful way to recognize a special occasion, honor a special person or simply “make your mark” on The Bushnell. Certainly! The Bushnell respects all stated wishes for anonymity. Even so, we hope that your client will be willing to share with us the fact that they have created a gift for The Bushnell in their estate plans, so that we may say thanks and, with permission, invite them to our annual dinner, A Celebration of Giving, honoring not only Legacy Society members but other inspired donors as well. Additionally, we would be grateful, if your client is willing, to learn – confidentially – the details of the gift…to fully understand and be prepared to fulfill their wishes.
Can an estate gift to The Bushnell be restricted?
Yes, however, given that this gift will likely be received well into the future, The Bushnell prefers unrestricted gifts. If your client is interested in making a restriction on his/her estate gift, we encourage broad restrictions that will allow The Bushnell to fulfill the donor’s wishes in the future and ask that you contact us to discuss appropriate language.
Can an estate gift count toward a capital campaign?
Possibly. Whether the gift is revocable or irrevocable, as well as the donor’s age, will factor into the extent an estate gift may be counted in a capital campaign.
